Modern Paintings

Artist Charlotte Morgan created this series of mixed media paintings with acrylic, ink and oil pastel. They were made by building up a series of layers, using the paint as a wash and varying the application and thickness of paint on the brush. Dimension is also added via the use of oil pastels and ink as their differing texture from the paint draws the eye in. Overall the collection is a rainbow of color and the rounded, freeform shapes were created freehand. This freestyle approach makes a dynamic collection of abstracts. Framed in our contemporary silver with linen slip. Size 43" x 50".
